Shower Pics part 2

Well, we have safely traveled to and returned from our second shower. It was very nice. Everyone had a good time and, once again, the baby returned home with several nice gifts.

As promised earlier, here is a picture of our crib (without mattress, seeing as we haven't purchased that yet!) The room should be getting painted this weekend and, hopefully, our dresser will be coming in within the next week so we can actually put the stuff away. Right now, it's just all sitting in bags in the corner of the room (stragically, not shown in this picture!)This is is the beautiful arrangement of presents, cake and assorted baby cuteness that Alicia's Aunts put together.

Alicia and I opening up a "France" present from her brother. It's actually a bib with "Nessie" (the Loch Ness Monster) on it from when he visited Scotland during his study abroad.
I guess that's about it. The trip was good, but we are happy to be able to stay home for a few weeks - not that those weeks will be boring seeing as we will be having various out-of-town guests, painting several areas of our house, installing new floors and suffering through my band camp. I'm sure more in depth posts on these things will follow!

Your crib is so pretty, classic in a nice oakey sort of way. Is it oak? It's got a cozy finish. We didn't have much choice in our crib, it was free, but we picked a dresser to match. Anyway, yours is way cute. Congrats on the cute presents and the sweet cake, the bib was funny, and it looked like a lovely shower.

I love your crib! Very pretty. What color are you going to paint the room?

Hey! Thanks. Our crib was "free" too because Alicia's parents bought it! (Gotta love being the first grandbaby!) I don't think it is real wood, but it is oak colored! We are going to paint the room a light green.

It looks lovely! I can't wait to see it in person. If you want Dr. Seuss painted on your walls, I'm now hiring out my mother. Unfortunately, you know the manner in which she prefers to work when she is hot!

The shower pictures look great too! We had almost 30 people our shower on Sunday. It was crazy! Now that our internet is working again (our house was struck by lightning during the storm last week and a power surge blew out our modem as well as various other appliances), I hope to get some pictures of that posted.

If you feel as though you may have a shortage of baby clothes, please let me know. I think Sadie's going to have to have her clothes changed 4 or 5 times per day just to wear everything once! :) It's a good thing her mom is a clothes hog too!
